John, I recall Lev saying that a company would have to invest $400,000,000 to get where Vlnc is today. That agrees with your dollars hypothesis. And I agree also on the lean and nimble hypothesis as well.

Things to consider;
Valence has proven it has the right chemistry and ability to manufacture by shipping to Korea and Alliant miles of product.

Customers are testing LiPoly but no PO yet. What's the problem? Batteries are somewhat of a commodity. If you sell phones you don't want customers stuck when they need a new battery or production stops because your battery vendor cannot deliver enough batteries to meet your demand. Before LiPoly can be adopted by a manufacturer they need a reliable supply chain. If your sole supplier has a production glitch your production grinds to a halt. Too much risk so you wait. VLNC needs to prove they can meet demand and have a couple of other partners packaging the batteries to create a reliable source of product. Has the problems at Eveready been a road block? I think CC can answer that question.
