If we go back a ways to the discussions about the DG alliance, I said that this was a strategy that matched DELL's business model but that no one had successfully pulled of a "virtual" company in the storage game, and it would be hard even for DELL. This is certainly more likely to succeed.

They still need professional services capability in this space, and for their enterprise business. If I were in their shoes, that's where I would go next.
