<<ecospeak from an ex economist>>

not bad, Chazman... the ex-economist is the best kind... after observing for almost 20 years, I have found consistent evidence that their ilk possesses the most arrogance, least capability to acknowledge changing seas, and the lowest quality of statistical work (whether analysis or forecasting)... all they seem to know is straight line forecasting with the past occuring again and again uninterrupted... and they control govt econ stat reporting, which serves as maestro conductor to bond traders

the best statistics practiced is by those with science background, from what I have witnessed

increasing cost of oil, industrial metals, lumber is a concern of mine when "seeing" lower bond yields around the corner... I never bought the premise that higher wage costs lead to higher inflation, NOT in the face of productivity gains (which are routinely underestimated)

>> there is no way I would buy a bond, see too many of my fellow seniors losing their real purchasing power that way

Confess, Chaz, the thing you fear losing is the adrenalin rush you get from tripling your money over night on stocks no one else had the vision to buy (Q, ICGE, SFE, JSDU, etc). You may be a senior, but your enthusiasm for stock picking makes you appear to be in your late 20s to your internet friends.

Question: How long do you think it will take to switch 170 from being a resistance level to a support level?
