Unconfirmed reports from the conf but here is what I have heard this am:
1. G* waiting for Iridium to fold and wants to take over its bandwidth.
2. Considering placing 2 geo's at poles for complete global coverage.
3. 10,000 test calls per day are being conducted successfully. System works well so far.

Excellent! I couldn't have done better myself.
I think the future will be bright, but not the immediate future. Probably will take 3-4 years to build subscriber base and turn profitable. Satellite telephony will probably be evolutionary and not revolutionary.
Phones won't work as well as cell phones due to no signal penetration in buildings. Although sound quality and call completion statistics may be good, sat phones will never match cell phones. This is certainly a niche market and not a mass consumer product. Nonetheless, G* has potential to make a bundle of $$; but it aint going to happen overnight.
Pricing will not draw a crowd. I expect a slow rollout; fortunately prices can be dropped to draw more customers.
I think Mr. S is wise expressing confidence, keeping details brief, and not overbuilding expectations. He's very good at manipulating the information channels via analyst conference calls, demos, etc. to shape investor perceptions. We shareholders should be grateful for his wisdom, experience, and dedication to shareholder value.
Although the next year or two will be difficult, I'm confident Bernie and team and will pull this out, especially now that voice quality and network reliability appear intact.
Twinkle twinkle little star
G* shareholders will be richer by far!
