not questioning future value of the acquisition. just the means of obtaining. don't see the difference in tax implications between cash or stock...value at closing is fixed, doesn't float ad infinitum...how else can you get a cost basis for tax purposes. cash with time/installment/debt payment probably best tax wise for seller. price is not issue, just reason behind method of payment.

refreshing to see dell finally admit that new ventures beyond the pc, not a piece of cake...and the organic method not feasible....market responds to "perception"......dell still not ibm.....regardless of what the "bible" states.........

notice lee's comments of stock range this year, referenced to return on cash........if this is the rationale of dell management...looks like a message of more languishing of stock price....
