Appears to me that DSP Comm Inc and LSI Logic Corp have developed CDMA chips on their own, and therefore won't be paying Q any royalties.

They make the chips under license, and have to pay the royalties, Nick.

Thanks for the link....I think the competition was expected. Every analyst has the Q's ASIC share falling from 90% today to somwhere around 50-60% next year. However I believe that Qualcomm extracts a royalty from every ASIC sold by it's competitors.
