Robert, TPC-C is one of the more broadly used and fairly governed benchmarks that try to capture a server's ability to execute transactions. You can find everything you would ever want to know about the Transaction Processing Council and their benchmarks at tpc.org including downloadable spreadsheets of all the posted scores. Regards, jh

Absolutely amazing: 8-Way $/tpmC Intel: 18.46 Alpha: 55.45 PA-Risc: 56.67 SPARC: 77.66 Translated, take a possibly healthy portion of Sun's chip market and add it to Intel's market revenue. And then add some of IBM's low-end mainframe-&like revenues. Intel has such good vision. It makes for great investing. Regards, Amy J
