Hey Steve,

I like Brocade and Ancor as the two big switch makers in the FC SAN market. As I referenced in my post, Sun may be the largest volume shipper (and thus shipper of FC SAN ports) in the years ahead.

<< You seem to have missed the reason ANCR got SUNW. >>

LOL! I am well aware of the warrants, but Sun not ONLY claims Brocade wanted the deal and flat out said Brcd CEO Reyes was wrong, they also claim that Ancor won the deal based on their products and nothing more than that. I'd believe the people at Sun over that fellow at Brocade anyday. I believe Sun also based their decision on Ancor's technology roadmap, also, which fit their plans better.

As I refenced in my earlier post, someone by the name of Technocrat put up some great posts talking about the different philosophies of working with switches at Ancor and Brcd. Ancor is more hardware based and Brcd more software based.

<< hope you bought some BRCD in low 180s. >>

I actually wish I did. ;-) Like I said, I sold too early. What an IPO! I think its the leading IPO gainer of the year so far.

Its great finally seeing Winstar move up! ;-)

all imho,
