one big difference. AVCO did not have Kernan and Costello hyping it every 10 minutes, and AMPD's high speed access is wireless with patent whereas AVCO was merely providing ADSL in their local area.

One involves a patent, although hyped up, proprietary product, whereas AVCO was merely providing an existing, commodity type service.
