O/T You're not the only one who seems to think so...

Silicon Investor is the mother of all financial-discussion sites on the Web. After it gained popularity in 1995, Silicon Investor started to attract many of the best bulletin-board posters away from The Motley Fool area of America Online (AOL). Soon, it gained preeminence as the main place to swap ideas on high-tech stocks and strategies. Its founders, brothers Brad and Jeff Dryer, sold the site in 1998 to Web conglomerate Go2Net (GNET). But it's never lost its earnest charm.
