Thanks for the feedback Doug. I kind of suspected that might be the case based on the onshore rigs drilling for NG.

I'm retired, but I have a brother-in-law in Tulsa looking for a job. He's a purdy big feller too!

"Many veteran workers left the industry and said "To hell with it" in 1997-98. They are not coming back. And it takes time to train new people in what is a very dangerous industry where mistakes may well cost you your life and the lives of those around you."

I left the patch in 1983 and said to hell to with it. Never looked back!! I had offers later but it just wasn't as promising than electronics in California. Never lost a finger either <VBG>.

I agree, those workers will be tough to replace in this economy.
