Jay,

I gotta handful of CF cards (48 MB and 64 MB) this summer at a pretty decent price. I hope that Eli and Company are able to scrounge some raw materials here and there.

The larger semiconductor manufacturers may have the upper hand temporarily if they have in-house fabs. Will larger flash memory producers--who will be offering CF soon--in direct competition with SNDK (SMOD comes to mind) be able to shift production to suit demand and margins? Seems like the chance to gain market share will be open to those with product on the shelf.

By early 2000 aftermarket demand will really kick in, the bottleneck should be fixed and we are off to the races.

Jay and Thread,

This showed up in the SNDK news bin today.

go2net.newsalert.com

Hope there is a series of substantive announcements coming up leading into the Q3 report in October. I think we at least deserve a Lexar update.

Fasten your seatbelts, Ladies. It could get choppy from here to New Years!
