Contrarian Q opinion.....

In October issue of Worth, one John Rogers, a fund manager for a small company value fund (Ariel Capital Management), opines on overvalued stocks. In addition to knocking Cisco, he says of Qualcomm...."our main concern: Current wireless technology could become obsolete overnight as new technologies and standards emerge. Yet the herd has pushed this stock up 543% in 1999. Beware groupthink."

Wow, what a dummy I've been. For years, I ate this stuff up, prior to S.I.

Apart from the fact that it seems to me that it takes years to develop telecommunications standards, not "overnight", this speaks to the relative underappreciation of Q by the market in general. Lindy and Unq have mentioned this before.

PS- I'll be hitting the lecture circuit hard this Fall; hope to generate enough bucks to buy some more Q.
