If you love MSFT I wonder what are you doing in RHAT thread specially if you do not have a position as I read in
your previous answers?

No need to answer I can imagine what you want is people to sell.

Also - do you realize that the CEO of Red Hat is now worth over $1 billion? Doesn't this represent a disconnect in the Open Source model, where people at one company can profit so handsomely off the work that so many others have done. There certainly must be some ill feelings in the Linux community about the current situation.

I interact with these developers every day and have not seen any ill will towards RedHat. In fact, RedHat is seen as one of the most-liked distributions because they release all their developments under the GPL, which allows everyone else to use, improve, and sell them also. This is without doubt a GoodThing(tm) for the community. And to top it all off, they have managed to spearhead the legitimization of Linux and Free software in general to be used in businesses, where we all have to spend our days (or most of us, anyway).

I think you have highlighted another misperception about the Free software community. The motivating factor is a lack of restrictions on how software is used and developed, and has nothing to do with money (or lack thereof). Many people/companies make money from this, and many others simply get to use and enjoy the software for its own sake. I doubt many people will stop developing web pages just because of ill will towards Cisco, who is making a killing from routing all that traffic. :)
