In my experience, PPI is equal to or lower than expectations probably 75% of the time, so here's hoping tomorrow follows suit. CPI isn't quite as reliable.

Well if the number is bad and there is a selloff, i am going to look for more speculative options---ie near term October to November. Likely to pick Intel over MSFT in these ones.

The only short term ones i currently hold are the Nasdaq100 trust units---QQQ calls for October(i think i am more diversified that i thought). I made enough on these ones and am considering selling them and buying further out in time such as January or later.

I just wonder how the Yen/Dollar biz unfolds. It can't be all bad for the tech stocks---more exports of technology and better conversion rates for their bottom lines.

Also looking for some trading opportunities in case we get big rallies or big selloffs for the September expiration (puts and calls)

Actually, codawg, we had a very good conversation about this about a month ago. I will state again for the record that I believe foreign money will flock to the US Equity Markets towards the end of the year considering the enormous Y2K exposure that these primitive markets/systems represent.

I suggest that everyone tune into CNBC tomorrow morning at 6am as they will have a guest host on that will outline why he thinks this is the time to go 100% Equities, and how the Markets will surge as we approach 12/31/99.
