My only objection to plural marriages would be the rather appalling difficulty of concocting an equitable and practical arrangement for dissolution. Serious possibility here for one or more parties to get stomped. Same-sex marriages pose no such problem. Egad! It's obvious you've never been a divorce lawyer. Parties get stomped all the time. Actually, it's even more likely for one party in a same sex relationship break-up to get stomped than in a traditional marriage. I had one of the former, and it was nastier than any divorce I've ever done.
