Geof, Looks like you still needs a core processor since this PHY will be added to the TI ASIC library and is acutally DSP based. The INTC and IBM approaches are single chip based (no ASIC's) although they are not core DSP's. Since the TI version is DSP based it really only applies to media that require DSP processing - like voice and video - right? So really a different market then where IBM is going with Reinier and INTC is going with IXA don't you think? OG
