Looks like we are heading for a market top.

Just digesting the AVNT situation. Besides the gloomy press release not much is known yet, but:

OPTIONS -Avant puts bought as stock rises

CHICAGO, Sept 9 (Reuters) - A sharp run-up in shares of Avant Corp (Nasdaq:AVNT - news) prompted put buying Thursday,
suggesting investors were taking a precautionary measure against a turnaround in the stock.

''The put volatility is higher today because of the increased buying interest...because there is increased desire for downside protection,''
said a lead market maker at the Pacific Exchange (PCX). ''The stock is up $9 today and they are buying a lot of puts.''

"''I'm not totally familiar with the court case,'' the lead market maker said. ''But there may still be uncertainty and there may be news still pending regarding the complete
outcome.''"

Time to take the skim off the pooper. $13-15 would be more approbiate. If the insiders bought, it would be a different story, but actually, they sold (Some sells have been filed).
