That actually surprises me. While I suspect KIS underreports the slippage when he liquidates huge options positions moments after an FOMC meeting or whatever, I basically believed him about the QCOM trade.

In trading style, if not in personality, KIS is eerily reminiscent of a bunch of guys I have known who made their initial money as entrepreneurs. Lots of the traits which are dangerous in trading, like a monster ego and a tendency to overcommit, are probably beneficial in someone trying to will a company into existence. I figured KIS had an about equal chance of blowing himself up or making enough money to buy a slightly used island from a 350 pound tow-truck driver...
