Smith Barney had some nice comments on the group yesterday..."very early, but almost universal , positive signs among software presenters at our technology conference of a significant upswing..." Pipelines increasing, large contracts on the horizon. Y2k issues fading MSFT, BMC, SAP, Advent (ADVS), Merc. Interactive (MERQ)and even Baan (Baanf) got favorable reviews. Advent has user conference in D.C. next week -------overbooked and SAP presents in PHIL. as well. www.barcharts.come has SAP as 100% buy on technical basis. Entire group seems to be acting very well......maybe a precursor of things to come????
