I suggest we send a couple of carriers, and two amphibious assault groups. Malaysia has no veto. I'd take Taiwan as an ally, and unlease them on the Mainland if China gives any trouble. We can always blow up another Embassy if they give us any trouble. I hate to see you act so cowardly. That's another problem with conservatives -- no guts. We've kicked China's ass before with our left hand behind our back.

Re. "legal" invasions -- curious about your feelings re. Normandy, Anzio, Inchon or Sinai in 67.

I'm skipping the comments on Australia's air force or usefulness as an air staging area. Such attacks would be pointless on any scale.

Re. China -- puhleeeeze, yourself! The Indonesians are not especially fond of the Chinese. You can look it up.

It may be worth recalling that the armed mob with army support has become a traditional Indonesian method of suppressing domestic dissent. In the past we have not disapproved, because the people being suppressed were communists, or sort of maybe communists, or something like that. As long as the cold war was on we were perfectly happy to see East Timor part of Indonesia; no telling what affiliations those Falintil boys might have.

Now everything has changed. Except for the Indonesians.
