Been researching TAK, the new venture of Microsoft and Thomson Multimedia that was pointed to by ryanscott on RB last night.

Microsoft will own 30% of this new venture, Thomson the remaining 70%. This venture is the direct result of a deal between the two last July... centering on enhanced (or interactive) TV. The new TAK service--which consists of offering full interactive TV services (like e-mail, movies, sports, and other communications capabilities) will be trialed in France, I gather, next year.

Whether or not this points to Wave, it's hard to say. But, it IS interesting... especially in the light of what we know of Thomson/RCA.

I have summarized this information from a 8/99 German article on a site called Berlin Online.
