I have only purchased round lots throught Schwab, but I understand that Merrill Lynch will let you buy in odd lot quantities. They are making the market in the Over the Counter Bulletin Board "Pink Sheets". I believe that several brokers will buy Softbank for your account, but you generally have to talk to a broker directly rather than initiate an online trade.

BTW, Softbank was trading at over $405 in Frankfurt this morning before the US Market opened.

Re: buying Softbank.

I have accounts at Schwab and E*Trade; they both told me round lots only. I enquired at Merrill and they contacted their international people and confirmed, yes, as Edwin said, odd lots are ok.

But my question would be, Why now, Look at the stratospheric-zoom chart, Isn't some sort of dip more likely than not?

Of course, that was the same thinking I went through back when Microsoft came out. <g>

Best wishes,
Tom
