I notice XEN was up 16% last night. KOB is driving their price.

Morning Dan,

<<I noticed kob trying to break the l.90 price yesterday, but always falling back. Do you think this is the rumour of wml causing this or just people trying to get in early. With the potential of elh and cc do you expect kob to reach its high in the next couple of weeks.>>

I would not worry about KOB not reaching new highs. I think it is lagging behind short term because as people get less afraid of this thing and enthusiasm builds, they are looking further down the road at the potential of the GSJB and all the other emerging plays. That's what speculation is all about. KOB does not have any participation in these plays for now, so it is being ignored by all the new brave souls coming in.

KOB does, however,(next to XEN), have the greatest upside leverage in the only "proven" gas play so far and this will compensate for a lot of neglect when some real reserves get booked, hopefully in October. By way of example, at today's prices, WML, the darling of the day, would need to find over 6 TCF of gas in the GSJB to match KOB's upside based on a 3 TCF find at ELH. That's a lot of gas speculation.
