From today's ROB:

Yesterday, investment bank Bunting Warburg Dillon Read bought $121.5-million of shares from Berkley
Petroleum, then formed a syndicate of dealers to help sell the stock. The financing followed Wednesday's
$160-million share sale by Penn West Petroleum, a FirstEnergy Capital-led financing that marked the first bought
deal seen since spring.

The Berkley deal saw 7.7 million shares sold at $16.30 each. In choppy trading, the stock closed yesterday at
$16.20 on the Toronto Stock Exchange, down 25 cents.

Investment houses are still feeling out institutional investors on bought deals, and Berkley came to market with a
clear use for the money it was raising. The company is one of four oil patch players -- along with Northrock
Resources, International Frontier Resources and Pacific Rodera Ventures -- that recently announced they are
opening up 280,000 acres in the MacKenzie Valley.

Bob: re << how to play and next venture >>.

I've chased too many rainbows lately. Therefore, if the takeover pans out, I sell the WML common, keep the warrants, and reinvest most of the proceeds back into one or two of the other ELH/GJSB players, similar to what you stated in post 4576.

I will only consider Solana if CC comes in and a feeding frenzy starts. It could turn out to be a good trading vehicle?????? Thanks for putting it on the radar screen.

Enjoy your day! WB.

PS. Where's Grayhairs? Maybe at the Canadian Open in Oakville. If he wanted to see heavy hitters, he should been here last month to see Mary Pierce, Anke Huber, Lucic, Seles, Hingus and the gang.
