Although I own half of Merill's top ten picks, this list is less than impressive, to put it mildly.

The central components of present and future technologies -- wireless telcomm, for example -- are conspicuously missing. Instead, the list is heavily 'puter-centric, which is narrow-based and not far-sighted enough from the investment perspective.

Well, what can you say about the brokerage house that relied on Tom Kurlak for so long! The dog's gone, but the house still smells.

Zoltan, I am not going to get sucked into that useless argument again. We were talking about a start-up. Interestingly enough, Merrill included CSCO in its top 10 and left LU off, but has a similar rating and greater % upside target on LU. CSCO is a great company and I wish you well with it. I will take my stodgy old LU, that of 20% topline growth and 35% eps growth for now.

So Chambers is going to change the world of communications....again. Is it a merger or mega acquisition, or a new line of rhetoric to pound the podium on for the next year?
