One factor not considered so far in the power consumption debate is the power consumed in the terminations.

I believe that Rambus recommends an RC network, where R is 28 ohms, and C is such that RC is a few uS. This means that there is no current if signal lines are not changing, and the equivalent of 28 ohms connected between the signal, and a voltage source at the mid point of the logic levels.

Given Rambus has less wires, how does this compare with SDRAM
