Michael,

Anyhow, whatever I decide, it wouldnït move the stock price at all....

You don't belive in the "butterfly effect"?

One investor places a small order, this small order depletes a market makers inventory below the point where he wants it. The market maker raises his bid to compensate. Someone else who was hoping to pick up shares at the lower price gets nervous and buys at the higher price starting a chain reaction of buying. Momentum players, seeing the move, start buying as well. Sell-side analysts thinking that they are missing it issue reports recommending the stock be bought bringing in even more buying. Soon Quantum can't resist the new high price and do a secondary offering. The road show exposes the story even more bringing in more demand for the stock. The company uses the proceeds from the offering to do research that solidifies their technology lead wiping out the competition.
The stock becomes a Wall Street favorite and is acknowledged as the industry leader. Shareholders are happy.

All because one small investor stood up. <g>
