Buying on the dip

I agree. I bought some more last week at 333, and thought it was expensive. While it was rising. Also bought during the initial rise when it started up from 120 in June. Bought at 157, 203, and 255. Each time, the buy seemed expensive at the time, and I was "chasing" the stock, something you're not supposed to do.

Softbank is different. Also, the Japanese market seems to be different, with fewer if any short traders, day traders, and the like.

Don't want to admit the percentage of my holdings in Softbank now. Excessively, inordinately high!

Interesting comment re Softbank vs. Softbank technology by Netconductor/Toonces. You can think that Softbank has a brake on it in terms of already highly valued investments in YAHOO and EGRP, whereas STECH is more a pure Japanese play with higher growth potential. But key factor is scope. I think the Softbank Microsoft GBLX deal is Softbank, and not Softbank Technology. Also, NASDAQ deal, InsWeb, ELOAN, all off the financial stuff is Softbank. So I'm sticking with the parent for now (plus I have no more money -- it's all in Softbank!).
