Fred,

Thanks for the research.

I visited Best Buy this morning as I have a day off.

The have two display cases for digital cameras. One display case is dedicated almost solely to the Mavica line. They second display has the Kodak (DC 200, 210, 240, 280 and 265), Canon, Toshiba, Olympus, and HP models. You can get a megapixel camera for under $300 now.

And get this. An end cap is devoted just to accessories including SanDisk flash memory at 8 MB, 15 MB, 16 MB, 40 MB and 80 MB capacities!!! There is also 8 MB and 16 MB SanDisk SmartMedia cards and 32 MB Lexar Smart Media cards. These cards are not under glass!!!

Kodak has a digital accessory kit with an 8 MB card (possibly SNDK?), a PCMCIA adapter, a card reader (not SNDK Imagemate), editing software, rechargeable batteries,...

Sony has a similar kit for Mavica users.

I am excited about the end cap and the array of SanDisk products at BestBuy.

BTW, the Diamond Rio and the Creative Labs Nomad were both sold out.
