wily, I also appreciate your's and Alan Bell's dialog with the tech bears. I understand some of it, but I hope you tell us who won when it's over <g>. You will never know - neither side will admit defeat and there is a limit to the time one can spend on this:-) The problem is that the raw data for comparisons is like a shifting desert. John

However, I feel that it is not necessary that I understand all the technicals... I travel in airplanes...do I need to know all the tech? No I buy automobiles...do I need to know all the tech? No I buy computers...do I need to know all the tech? No I buy etc., etc., etc., do I need to know the tech? NO Watch the $$$$$ roll in to Rambus bottom line....that's all I need to know! Glenda
