Good news - New Reuters/Zogby poll:

''It's Bush's to lose, although it's not yet a done deal. Voters are learning more about him and seem to be bonding with him,'' said pollster John Zogby.

The poll also showed Bush handily beating both Democratic presidential candidates. He bested Vice President Al Gore by 50-36 percent and former Sen. Bill Bradley by 50-32 percent.

Then it is time for a 3rd party, because Dole is about as conventional a Republican as you can get these days.

She is definitely no Reagan. As viable Republican candidates go, Reagan is about as conservative as the Republicans will ever produce. Whitman and others like her are on the left. The Bushes and Powell are somewhere in the middle and both Doles are between the Bushes and Whitman.

All these folks are very close together, so much so they are hardly distinguishable. All are conventional Republicans.

Since a viable Reaganesque candidate does not exist, the conventional Republican field is filled with nothing but what I have said all along -- Democrats.
