Yep, you can have a great stock but if the buyers aren't there it remains "undiscovered". I have found in my short time trading that the leaders in their industries seem to always perform better than their lower priced piers.

True, it pays to buy other stocks in the group that did not appreciate as much as AMAT did --- like LRCX when it traded way too low at the 10s (and even single digit)... but one thing to remember is that the Other stocks in the group are like Moons that Orbit sometimes closer, sometimes farther around AMAT the earth; where AMAT goes the others go.
