Dabur to double sales in three years

Dabur India Ltd, said on Thursday that it aims to achieve a turnover of Rs 20 bn by financial year 2002-2003, compared to net sales of Rs 9.15 bn in the previous financial year.

Dabur has set up a subsidiary in Britain, Axol Laboratories plc, "which will lead the global oncology initiative," Chairman Mr. V.C. Burman told shareholders at its annual general meeting in Delhi.

Oncology is the study of tumours. Dabur will set up formulations plant in Britain at a project cost of US $ 9 mn. The statement further said Mr. Burman was confident that Dabur would achieve a higher growth rate and improve profitability in the current financial year.
