Bearded One, I know you asked a question about Novell caching on the Inktomi thread. This latest announcement by Novell seems to say that Novell has a major foothold in Japan with NEC and caching.
As I understand it Novell has 80% of this fast growing mktplace and one of Inktomi's claims to fame is its caching stuff. I probably do not understand the reason for Inktomi's very high stock value but for the sake of discussion I will assume it is its caching products. Why then is Novell not gaining more fame (and higher stock values) for its efforts in this area of the net? Maybe Slitz spent most of his time trying to figure the tax implications of his stock options.

BTW, after hours CNBC covered this announcement (I think).
I just happened to see them showing a daily stock chart and mention caching so I believe it was this announcement. The CNBC guy did mention in closing that Novell stock was down a steenth in afterhours trading. Maybe this caching area is a noop with regard to revenues.

Regards,

Don
