He imposed sanctions on India when the N-tests were done. Do you know if they are being implemented? Nope - the corporate pressure is too much and hence the Govt has to let lose on the sanctions. They were military sanctions and NOT economic sanctions. Do you know of any military technology that has been slipped to India since the N-tests? What I hear among Indian circles and elsewhere in the media (the Indian media, that is; the US media doesn't care a whit about India; as far as they are concerned, "Asia" means Japan, China and "others") are how Indian scientists were thrown out of American labs, and how it is so unfair, and how it is counter-productive to American welfare and on and on and on. The "foreign policy" under the auspices of Madam Secretary is another joke. I could give you my detailed take on all these. Since I have no time to waste on this - suffice it to say that my version is not the same as YOUR spin (which you call as FACTS). I didn't make any favorable or unfavorable comments about the foreign policy of this administration. IMO, their performance vis-a-vis foreign policy is about the same as what Reagan or Bush did. (Outside of his putting the Cold War to an end -- something for which many past Presidents of the USA have to be credited and not just Reagan -- there is not much to say about Reagan's foreign policy either). IMO, the Clinton administration is as much corrupt as the dictators for some Banana Republic are. Well, that's your prerogative. You may think whatever you want to. But do realize that the current administration is on its way out! So stop getting fixated on it and begin to look forward. For instance, do you think that the new Congress will take kindly to the frequent and increasingly vicious attacks on Christians in India? Especially if it turns out to be a Republican-controlled Congress with a Republican President in the White House? I know you are very OPINIONATED and live under the self deception that your arguments are SOUND. I invite you to argue on specific points rather than throw up a nonsensical, vacuous statement like the one above. And I do hope you will do better than the puerile name-calling that some others on this forum resort to.
