True, the Sandinistas were not democratically elected. But this does not change the other facts...

1) When they came to power in the late 70s, they had the majority of public support behind them (though they were later voted out of power when democracy prevailed).

2) The Contras were so universally hated that they couldn't even set up a base on Nicaraguan soil, they had to flee to neighboring Honduras.

3) It's inexcusable that the "champion of democracy" would so backhandedly support a group that believed in anything but democracy.

4) My humorous list was supposed to be just that... HUMOROUS. Whether or not it was is a legitimate question, but PAH-LEASE don't take it too seriously. Just laugh it off and move on with your life.
