SEDONA Joins Oracle's CAI Partner Program; SEDONA's SpatialVision Brings Powerful Visualization to Oracle Applications

LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 1999--SEDONA Corporation (Nasdaq:SDNA), a leading supplier of Java-based, business geo-intelligence products, announced that they have joined Oracle's (Nasdaq:ORCL) Cooperative Applications Initiative program (CAI).

Oracle's CAI program enables leading software companies to integrate with Oracle applications. Through CAI, SEDONA will integrate its products with Oracle Applications, to provide geographic visualization of business data, enabling a unique representation of the knowledge contained within an information repository.

This capability, when coupled with Oracle's applications, will enable customers to dramatically increase the return on information previously hidden below the surface, providing the customer with valuable insights from their existing data.

With this partnership, SEDONA will provide a series of visualization components to enhance the Oracle suite of applications and Oracle and SEDONA will provide development engineering support for integration and testing and pursue joint marketing, sales force training and customer opportunities

"We are delighted to be a part of the Cooperative Application Initiative program," said Colin Matthews, president of Sedona GeoServices. "Our visualization products were designed from the bottom up to leverage Oracle technology for business intelligence applications. Our goal has been to demonstrate the value of visualization to key application and database partners. SEDONA's participation with Oracle, coupled with our earlier selection by the Acxiom Corporation (Nasdaq:ACXM), confirms the value of our visualization components to major application providers and is a very key step in our corporate strategy for rapid market growth. SEDONA's products bring differentiating competitive advantage to applications in several market areas, for example, customer relationship management, supply chain, and financial applications. And, Oracle is clearly a leader in these market areas."

"SEDONA is very pleased to be a Certified Solution Partner in the Oracle Partner Program," stated Marco Emrich, recently appointed CEO of SEDONA Corporation. "SEDONA's products will enable users to exploit the Internet to visualize customer-driven and supply-related business information much more effectively than with current business intelligence software techniques. This capability enables businesses to plan, adapt and react faster in today's highly competitive marketplace."
