i haven't got today's data yet, but yesterday we had a year-to-date low in the index p/c ratio and a whopping 22 million open call contracts outstanding. of course, the total CBOE ratio and the index ratio 10-dma are not yet at speculative extremes like they were in July. but i'd say there are signs that bullishness is on the increase once again, and definitely the shorts are running scared as evidenced by the extremely low NYSE short interest ratio. usually a run in the tech stocks sparks a lot of call buying and today has probably been no exception...
