Hi Clarence:

Thanks for sharing your experience wrt DCC. Now that you remind me, I have been DCC'd, but have never DCC'd someone.

On the trade accounting issue, Colin chose not to share his spreadsheet, or forgot or did not notice my request. After much searching, I remain with Quicken. Three shortcomings there - (a) does not handle shorting capital gains well, although I've read that this is fixed in Q2000, (b) in a portfolio view that combines positions in a single security held in several accounts, you cannot look at individual lots and (c) cannot get live updating, real time quotes into Quicken.

I've accepted these shortcomings now.
