HUGE MOVE? MAJOR TECHNICAL BREAKOUT to new HIGH indicates MUCH HIGHER prices IMO- Valuation is still extremely low relative to revenues, and when compared to other FIBER CHANNEL stocks- Brocade, EMULEX, Gadzoox etc.

peter: As I read the following news release, Interphase is getting rid of Zirca, although that is not specified in the release. Basically, Zirca is transferring all of its technology and customer base to uniView Technology of Dallas and leasing its office space to uniView for a 2 percent stake in uniView and $300K. What's left?

"uniView Technologies and Interphase Corp. Sign Technology Deal Agreement to Transfer Assets of Zirca, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Interphase Corporation

"DALLAS, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- uniView Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: UVEW - news) and Zirca Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Interphase Corporation, Inc. (Nasdaq: INPH - news) have signed an agreement that will transfer all of its software and hardware systems, web based pre-paid calling card transaction processing, and Video Conferencing connectivity to uniView. Additionally, existing customers and clients, currently utilizing the web based card processing will be transferred to uniView along with the existing office and connectivity space.

"Terms of the agreement will give Zirca approximately 2% of the outstanding stock of uniView while uniView has agreed to pay approximately $300,000 and assume existing connectivity contracts. Additionally, uniView will sublease office space from Zirca in its corporate facility located near Dallas.

"uniView will immediately start the moving process, not only for the new location of their ISP, but also for all technical staff and sales activities. The move is anticipated to be completed by November and will greatly expand the bandwidth capabilities of uniView.

''The biggest advantage of this agreement to uniView is the immediate expansion of its broadband capabilities and the introduction of voice over IP (VOIP) to our systems. The opportunity to work with Interphase on new connectivity solutions is exciting.'' said Patrick A. Custer, President of uniView.''

"According to Greg Kalush, president of Interphase Corporation, Inc., ''uniView's advanced technical capabilities in the STB and ISP systems created an opportunity to more fully utilize our Zirca investment. We are looking forward to a working relationship with uniView, and to leverage potential business opportunities to supply connectivity solutions in the future.''
