I agree the imbalance was curious, made more curious by the fact ADI never traded close to $60 when it did finally open.

I've often wondered about the competency of the specialist at the ADI post; here's a liquid stock trading over a million shares daily almost exclusively by institutions, yet every morning it takes him several minutes to open and execute the first trade.

Given that, is it any wonder on a day when a brokerage house comments on the good health of ADI's business (before the open) creating greater than normal interest that he starts thrashing around like a fish on the docks?

BWDIK.

One thing seems clear, though. ADI's current and future prospects have never looked better. The RF announcement this week should become another noteworthy growth driver in the Q's ahead, along with the INTC partnership and the rest of the mature and growth businesses.

This cycle looks like it'll last for a while thanks to fabulous demand and a healthy and improving world economy.

ADI is one of the best semi stocks as yet undiscovered by the retail investment crowd (except us, of course :>) )
