I like your thuroughness Dale. I don't really have too much "close contact" with the company in the standard sense of the word. I tend to relate better with the technical people and I felt they created a bit of la technological lead as "rule breakers" in a very emerging, yet set industry. This is what drew me to invest. I felt that the lead was sufficient to create a barrier to entry preventing other franchises from encroachment until the "brand name" was firmly established. Now the new management is rather sales driven, and rightly so. ( it's about time, I thought the stock should be at $ 4-5.00 dollars and heading to a new exchange by now.) The guns at eDispatch.com have a real opportunity to prove themselves in a competitive and changing market. I think this company is a "first mover" in it's particular field and first movers usually attract significant market caps. above secondary movers. Barnes Noble, Chapters, etc have little market cap. compared to Amazon for instance. This is only one example but the list goes on... I think a more pertinent issue is how much respect this company (EWD) can establish in the market as a brand name before they are a) bought out for substantial US$ or b) obtain listing on a larger exchange, or c) become overtaken by a larger, stronger backed, more well monied competitor. One thing the VSE does afford is obscurity. This relative obscurity in the small pond, can translate into a greater window of opportunity before others spring up and overtake the fortress. If you know of any significant competition in the field of dispatch distributed via internet, I would appreciate knowing about it. ( I am a small fish in a small pond, trying to ascertain the investment quality of the issues I now hold in my portfolio. ) Information and due diligence reinforce or or diminish one's position. I have to say that I am happy with the current sales focus from Brian Ellis, and the technical Jeff morris is still in place. ( I met Jeff when I bought in at $.21 a couple years ago.) Where is the puck going to be? I know where it has come from, and now together we must determine where it is going, so we can take appropriate position. Sep10/99 and Holding. ontopequity.com
