For your info. this writer has a 12-18 month target price of
110 for AMAT, per following article in CBS Marketwatch

"My top choice is Applied Materials (AMAT: news,
msgs), which is the largest equipment manufacturer.
The companies' main products are semiconductor
wafer fabrication equipment and related spare
parts. Applied Materials is at the leading edge of the new 300 millimeter
wafer. All of the major semiconductor companies use their equipment.
Consensus earnings estimates are for $1.71 per share this year and $2.78
in 2000. I have a 12 to 18 month price target of $110
