<<this has to be the toughest market ever... >>

I missed it by a few Q's but I think '29-'30 presented more challenges than today's market. Ha!

<<and if it isn't please teach me the lessons...>>

I'm a student, not a teacher. This year, I've been following the advice in chapter 6, "don't fight the Fed" and chapter 8, "follow the money".

So far, that's been working, and it pays to remember the epilogue, "pigs get slaughtered" Have fun!

Joel Gander. Re: "i guess the y2k freeze has totally disappeared. You may be right. Rukeyser's guest last night said that there have been a number if tech conferences over the last couple of weeks. The consistent consensus from the companies was that Y2K was not going to cause a business meltdown. Hence the market has relaxed.

He also liked software as an investment. Mentioned Oracle.
