<<I think lives can be ruined by marijuana, >> Weak individuals can have their lives "ruined" by anything. As birdog demonstrates, with regards to marijuana, what ruins lives are the laws in some states imprisoning those who deal in it.

I am not for the use marijuana but it is obviously much less destructive than alcohol. I never had to pick someone up at the emergency room for marijuana related injury ? or had friends who have lost one or both parents due to marijuana use ... or knew people who had been abused physically and emotional as a result of there parents pot smoking . On the other hand if I was asking those questions about alcohol I would have to say yes to all of the above. The laws just do not make sense they are expensive, destructive, arbitrary, and unfair.

Are you a fellow NY republican ? ... I am actually in Greenwich now. In my opinion the party has taken a turn for the worse . What do you think? I know a lot of people who are unhappy with the southernization of the party.
