I'm considering Globalstar long. I liked the ML report, but was concerned about the weight of these phones--wasn't it 12 oz. I wouldn't want a phone that heavy. Also, Does the fact that this is satellite mean that your reception doesn't get cut off driving down Fountain Avenue (I don't really mean this street :))? If so, that would be a big advantage. I would think the Loral/Globalstar question depends on what role the stock is filling in your portfolio. In my case--technology with high risk--therefore Globalstar should provide the better pop. The question is whether you buy the premise of the company (since there really is nothing else to go on here). That's why the phone weight and continuous reception seem to me to be key issues. Any comments appreciated. Thanx.
