You are quite right that campaign finance reform is nothing but a red herring, something for the media to beat up the repubs on. The dems will continue to break any new laws that are imposed, if McCain and his crowd are lucky enough to get something passed.

Dems treat campaign finance like guns: new laws + no enforcement.
