I thought they had fossils of small mammals dated back to the same time as dinosaurs... Anyone else here of that? If so, say so, don't want to sit he thinking I'm imagining things. =P

The first fossil of a "modern" mammal (a creature that looks like a cross between a weasel and a rat, whiskers and all) is 115 million years old. Mammals were around before the dinosaurs got iced ... they had to await the K-T event to become contenders.
