At www.411stocks.com, there is an interesting
news release dated 9/2 re: Mercury.
Yea, the same one (MRCY).
Just punch in MRCY at the ticker place & scroll down to the
2nd article. It seems MRCY and Data General are entering
into a SAN agreement for video storage, editing & distribution.
This is the type of thing I hate to see and is why I fear
EMC so much as they could BUY a company who has the technology to compete with DST & Micronet arrays. I sure as
hell bet they are also more inclined to enter into business
relationships along these same lines than AXC. It seems Data
General (definitely) and EMC (maybe) see the great future in
video storage & delivery.
IMO, another reason the market is punishing AXC is their
decision to go it alone as a "many times wounded" warrior
who could fall forever from one final well placed blow.

"If you really want to beat yourself up..."

Thanks, but I am not really into self flagellation! However, you bring to mind a "tool" that I have been utilizing to follow some stocks - BarChart.com. So far it has proven to be a pretty good indicator on the few stocks that I have been following - not buying, since I am pretty much tapped out at this point. <G>

I know and understand almost nothing about TA, composite indicators, etc and am curious what some of the experts on this thread think of this tool. Any comments?

Now to the self-flagellation....what would it take for this

equities.barchart.com

to look like this!

equities.barchart.com

I have no special interest in TTP, just one of several that I have been watching as a result of BarChart indicators.

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions concerning the usefulness of this "tool" for those of us still stuck in Investing 101! Despite it all, I still cling to AXC!

Bill

Thanks for all the links. I didn't find much new there, but it did serve to remind me that insider selling has been virtually non-existent during this year. The only selling I recall was Mr. Atchison exercising and selling some options. If anyone wanted out the Hugh Downs run up would have provided an excellent opportunity. Also recall that no the options they have granted to new employees have a strike price of 4.25, and there has been no re-pricing of them.

One other useful link:
nasdaq-amex.com
Short interest is non-existent in this stock, which to me is a good sign. It means that there aren't big guys in the know who think this company is going to fail.

Good luck all,

Carl
